Take the Mayor’s Carbon Challenge
Mayor PiercyIt is up to each and every one of us to make a commitment to reduce our contribution to climate change. Mayor Piercy has issued a challenge to members of the Eugene community to strive to reduce personal greenhouse gas emission right now.
There are a many ways to reduce your carbon footprint including: biking or walking to work, hang-drying your clothes, composting, replacing regular light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs, installing a solar water heater, switching to a clean energy provider and using a low-flow shower head.
Join other Eugenians in taking the Mayor’s Carbon Challenge (and receive a free carbon footprint lapel pin!)
